MONETARY/PLANNED GIVING

We rely on you to maintain and strengthen the life of our church through your giving of time, energy and money.  Although this is rightly given to the glory and praise of God, it also helps to enrich the wider community here in the northern part of our town.

Giving to support the local church is a means whereby we can give for the benefit of others in the community, not just for the present, but also for the future.  What you give of your money, time and abilities will ensure that we at St Mary’s can look forward to an exciting and encouraging future together.  YOU are an important part of this future under God.  Being able to live contentedly and give generously will make a real difference to how we view and live out our Christian faith.

The Church of England suggests that each adult member of the church should seek to give to their church 5% of their income after tax (£1 in every £20).  While it may not be possible for some people to give so generously at this time it is something to which we should all aspire.  However we do ask that we each consider a generous response to God through the work of his church in terms of money, abilities, time and energy.  YOU are a very important part of this effort and you all have a valuable contribution to make.

We have much to do as a congregation to grow into the people that the Lord would have us be.  We are clearly not perfect but we do have much to be thankful for in what we share together in Christ.

There are various ways you could help to support St Mary’s, without regular financial support we would not be able to continue God's work in the community, please see our Make A Gift Page for details of regular Giving.
